The recent tornado that struck Menasha, Wisconsin, was a powerful and destructive EF-3 tornado that moved through the Fox Cities area on July 27, 2026. The tornado developed near Appleton around noon and traveled through Fox Crossing and Menasha before moving toward Lake Winnebago. It had estimated peak winds of about 140 mph and left a damage path roughly 12 miles long, with the widest areas approaching a mile across. Homes and buildings were severely damaged or destroyed, vehicles were overturned, and many trees and power lines were knocked down.
